Instructions to make chicken tikka masala:

  1. Maarinate chicken pieces with ginger garlic paste, kashmir red chilli paste, salt, turmeric powder, yogurt, garam masala powder, lemon juice, cumin powder and mix well. Let them rest for 1-2 hours.
  2. After 2 hrs Heat oil in a pan shallow fry) u can grill also ) the chicken pieces and cook for 3-4 minutes on high heatkeep aside.
  3. FOR GRAVY : Heat oil in a pan add all the whole spices(cinnamon, cardamon cloves bay leaf cumin seeds.)saute it.
  4. To this add onions saute it well till they are lightly brown in colour.
  5. Add ginger garlic paste tomato puree (blend 2-3 tomatoes)green chilliessaute it well till the oil separates.
  6. To this add cashew paste,kasoorimeti, kashmiri chillypowder, turmeric,salt,tomato ketchupmix well till it gets a creamy consistency.
  7. At last add the fried chicken peicesmixwellfor more gravy add little water &cover the lid for 5min in a low flame.
