Vegetable pulao is one of the most popular of current trending foods on earth. It’s enjoyed by millions daily. It is easy, it is fast, it tastes delicious. Vegetable pulao is something that I have loved my entire life. They are nice and they look wonderful.
To bewith this recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can have vegetable pulao using 17 ingredients and 18 steps. Here is how you cook it.
The ingredients needed to make Vegetable pulao:
- Make ready 1 bowl Basmati rice
- Take 1 tbsp ghee
- Take 1 tsp oil
- Prepare 1 bowl carrots
- Prepare 1 bowl green peas
- Take 1 potato
- Take 6 garlic pods
- Prepare 1/2 inch ginger
- Take 2 green chillies
- Take 1 tsp jaggery
- Make ready to taste Salt
- Get 2 bowls water
- Take 1 onion
- Take 2 cloves
- Take 1 bay leaf
- Make ready 1 green cardamom
- Get 2 black pepper
Steps to make Vegetable pulao:
- Start with cleaning the carrots,peas,potatoes, and onion.
- Cut the carrots and potatoes and onion in thin long slices.
- Blend a paste of garlic, ginger and green chillies
- Soak the Basmati rice in water for 10 minutes.
- After soaking remove the water and wash it thorough.
- Then take your prressure cooker and add ghee and oil to it. When heats up. Add the whole garam masala.
- When the whole garam masala splutters add the sliced veggies and stir nice.
- After stirring the veggies nice for 3 to 4 minutes. Add a tsp of the ginger, garlic and green chilli paste and stir it nice with the veggies.
- You will see the veggies cooking nice.
- Then add salt to taste, tsp of turmeric powder and jaggery. Again stir this for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Then add to this the Basmati rice and again stir a minute or so.
- To this add 2 bowls of water. Use the same measure of the bowl you had taken for rice.
- Cover this with a steel plate. Do not use the pressure cooker lid. Add liitle bit of water on the lid.
- When you see the water evaporating and steam coming open the cover and check.
- If you see water still inside the rice. It means you have to cook a bit more.
- Then again put the lid. In 2, 3 minutes you will see steam coming and smell the fragrance.
- Switch off the gas and let the pulao cook in its own moisture.
- After 5 minutes serve with with a spoon of ghee and garnish with coriander leaves.
