- Get 1 cup boiled white chickpeas/ white chana
- Take 4-5 cloves garlic, peeled
- Take 1/2-3/4 cup chickpeas water (the water in which chickpeas were boiled)
- Take 2 tbsp lemon juice
- Get 1 tsp salt or to taste
- Take 4-5 tbsp extra virolive oil (can add more if you wish)
- Get 2 tbsp white toasted sesame seeds

- Falafel with hummus.
- For the falafel, wash and soak the white chickpeas overnight.
- Discard the water and wash the chickpeas with fresh water. Now add the chickpeas, green coriander/ dhaniya patta, onion, garlic, sesame seeds, baking soda, cumin powder, coriander powder, cayenne pepper and salt to a grinder jar. Using very little water, grind the ingredients to a chunky paste.
- Heat oil in a kadai. Make small balls and deep fry on medium heat till golden brown. Alternatively you can make patties and shallow fry as well.
- If your mixture is too watery add some besan/ gram flour to it.
- For the hummus: Add all the ingredients to a grinder jar and grind till smooth. - Serve hot falafel with healthy homemade hummus.
