The ingredients needed to make Labra:
- Get 500 gms varieties vegetables pieces (potato, cauliflower etc)
- Make ready 2 tsp ginger chillies paste
- Take 1/2 cup grated coconut
- Prepare 2 tsp roasted masala powder (cumin, coriander,dry red chillies, pepper etc.)
- Get 1 tsp cumin powder
- Make ready 1 tsp coriander powder
- Prepare 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- Take 10 lentil dumplings
- Make ready To taste salt
- Get 1 tsp panch foron(five spices)
- Get 2 dry red chillies
- Prepare 2 bay leaves
- Get 1 tsp turmeric powder
- Take 1 tomato
- Prepare 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Get 1 tsp sugar
- Make ready 1/2 cup oil
- Make ready 2 tsp ghee
Instructions to make Labra:
- Fry lentil dumplings into hot oil and keep aside. Into the oil add panchforon,bay leaves and dry red chillies and saute for 15 seconds. Add vegetables and salt. Saute for 5 minutes.
- Add tomato and using lid cook for 10 minutes in low flame. Add grated coconut and sugar. Cook until the vegetables be soft. If necessary add 1/2 cup of water and let it evaporate. Add roasted masala powder, garam masala powder, lentil soup and ghee. Ready to serve with roti, rice or khichuri.
