Steps to make Tomato pulao:
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add in the cumin seeds, bayleaf, cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamons. Give a mix.
- Add in the chopped onions and the ginger garlic paste. Sauté till the onions are cooked soft
- Then add the chopped Tomatoes and give a good mix.
- Add in the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, some salt. Stir well till the onions and tomatoes mix with the masalas.
- Then add the chopped Coriander leaves and chopped mint leaves. Cook for a minute.
- Now drain the water from the soaked rice and add the rice to the pressure cooker. Give a gentle mix.
- Add 1&1/2 cups of water into the cooker. Give a good mix. Cover the cooker and cook for 20 minutes(10 minutes in high flame and 10 minutes in low flame)
- After pressure released open the cooker. Flavourful Tomato Pulao is ready. Gently mix and garnish with coriander leaves.
