The ingredients needed to make Borsch:

  1. Make ready 1 lb Beef stew meat or similar
  2. Make ready 2 tbsp Salt
  3. Get 5 liter Water
  4. Get 10 small Baby carrots
  5. Make ready 1/2 Onion
  6. Make ready 3 small Beets
  7. Make ready 4 medium Potatoes
  8. Prepare 1 small Cabbage
  9. Prepare 1 small Tomato or tomato paste

Instructions to make Borsch:

  1. Pour water into a big pot. Add salt to taste. Add meat. Boil on high for about 15 min, simmer for 45 min.
  2. Chop up onions, carrots, beets, and slightly fry on the pan. Add chopped up peeled tomato or tomato paste.
  3. Cut up potatoes
  4. Take the meat out and filter the broth through the colander (if the colander has big holes, put a piece of paper towel in it). Pour the broth back in the pot.
  5. Add potatoes to the broth and cook for 15 min on medium.
  6. Cut up about 4-5 cabbage leaves
  7. Add veggies and cabbage to the soup, cook on medium for about 10 min
  8. Sprinkle dill. The soup is ready serve!
