  1. Take 2 tbsp butter or ghee
  2. Take 1/2 kg lauki
  3. Make ready 2 tbsp Almonds
  4. Make ready 2 tbsp pistachios
  5. Prepare 1 litre milk
  6. Get 1/3 cup Tapioca (sabudana)
  7. Take 1/4 tsp cardamon powder (Elaichi)
  8. Prepare Few drops green food colour
  9. Get 1/2 cup sugar
  10. Make ready 1/4 cup cream

Steps to make Lauki kheer:

  1. Soak tapioca(sabudana) in 2 cups water for 2 hour.then set a side.
  2. Peel lauki and cut in the pieces remove seeds then grate with the help of grater.
  3. Squeeze lauki with the help of hand remove water.
  4. At medium flame add butter and lauki in pan. Cook lauki for 10-12 mins.
  5. Now add almonds and pistachios and mix for 30sec.
  6. Add milk and boil it.
  7. Add sabudana,sugar and cardamon powder.And cook until thick.
  8. Now add green food colour. Consistency is thick.
  9. Close low flame add cream.
  10. Garnished with nuts. Serve it.
