  1. Chop onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, green chillies. Not fine just thick slices
  2. In a pressure cooker, add everything and put 2-3 tbsp of water. Pressure cook 2 whistles.
  3. Once steam goes open and using a hand grinder, grind it to a puree. (I grind in pressure cooker itself using a hand grinder)
  4. Now turn the flame on and cook that puree by adding some ghee, and all spices. Cook till sides leaves the oil
  5. Drain soaked black chickpeas and transfer to the pressure cooker, add some water to make curry and pressure cook 2 -3 whistles. After 3 whistles, keep on low flame for 10 mins. Turn off flame and let rest until steam goes. Open, check if it’s cooked (they should be soft). If not, pressure cook another whistle.
  6. Adjust spices, garnish with coriander and serve with rice
